Todays painting of the day went really quick. Four to four and a half hours tops. I've never met this young lady but she is the twin sister (not the identical kind) of a friend of mine and they've been kind enough to lend me their faces for studies. Thanks Danielle and a sorry in advance for my painting not giving you justice.

Is this the same process I've seen you using earlier? Pick out to establish values and then opaque paint laid in over the top?
The only thing different is I used a little bit of a new color given to me from a friend called Transparent oxide brown but yeah I didn't use any different method.
I find these pretty inspiring. I wish I could sit down and watch you paint one. I painted for three hours today and accomplished absolutely nothing. I read a comment on an art forum recently about "bargue-ers" at 3 hr figure drawing sessions who labor over measurements and end up without much to show for their effort. The guy actually said they should get down off their high horse and accomplish something within the given time frame. I feel like I need that specific kind of kick in the pants right now. Anyway, I'm just saying I'm impressed with how much you are able to accomplish on these. Good on ya.
Thanks for the positive comments Dave. I too am a bargue-er and even more often a quitter. When things aren't going right I usually kill it before I give it a chance. Keep workin' man! We all got our strikes and gutters.
