Here are pieces I did at the bee downtown. I did the painting two weeks ago. I didn't post it back then because I thought it was crappy and I think I'm still right about that but the model Brook said she liked it so.....up it goes. The other is of Cecelia, I hadn't touched charcoal and newsprint for months and it shows BADLY so I'll give myself a Mulligan for its crappyness.

Once again I have nothing of quality to post so instead I'm posting stuff of people who are far more talented and creative than myself (again). If you haven't seen these before they are really good and very Halloween. Also, go watch Kubrik's The Shining, Carpenter's The Thing, Friedkin's The Exorcist: restored version with the spider walk stairs scene and Peter Jackson's Brain Dead or Dead Alive if you are a lame american like me. They are the funniest horror movies ever made period and are mandatory watching come halloween.

Russian Pooh is a freakin' trip.

Actually no, I'm not going to kill myself tomorrow. The heading above is just inspired by todays song of the day which was in one my favorite movies the Royal Tenenbaums. If you haven't seen it yet (but who hasn't) go rent it now. Another movie I'd like to recommend is a great documentary called Bigger Stronger Faster*. Its starts off as a documentary about steroids but later turns into a observation of the American condition. Not only is it very informative but very entertaining as well. Checkout the delete scenes while you're at it too. Go out and rent this one its really good.

If you haven't noticed there is no painting of the day today. In fact no painting of the day for the last few days. Why? I'm not motivated I guess. I could put up some anatomy studies or sketches as filler but.....meh.

Its so cold in Alaska

I've had family visiting these last few days so I've done the "lets go to the beach" thing and such so I haven't done any paintings. Above is the study I started just before my sisters came to visit. It hasn't really turned out to good so far so I'm probably going to abandon it.

Yesterdays painting of the day was essentially todays painting of the day's lay-in. It doesn't look much like the model so I might go back to it later today and try to fix it up. I need to get back to bed.
