I've been here for years!
Actually I've only just recently taken up oil painting. I haven't done much painting since December and all of those studies were crap. This one I did at the Bee Downtown today. Its not exactly crap. In fact its not that bad for how long I've been away from painting. Its kinda like being able to lift the approximate weight from before even though you haven't lifted weights in a long time. I hope I'm not sore tomorrow morning.

badass, man. keep up that oil painting, you have the makings of a master. thanks for the comment on my robot piece, in response to your question, I didn't submit any devils to Spectrum but I did put in Gunrilla. It's not exactly a full finished illo, but it was the closest thing I had at the moment.
